Management Information Systems in Food Based Franchising Sector - A Research and Application Kürşat Özdaşlı

In recent years, franchising has become a part of everyday life in developed countries. Franchising has emerged as a highly important strategy for business growth and economic development. As a business format, franchising has been used as an alternative distribution and business expansion method in recent years. In this study, issues such as software-related problems between franchisor and franchisee, software fee, supply, price, quality, payment methods, supervision process, rules, stress, etc. were investigated using semi-structured interview form, in-depth interview and observation techniques. There is no management information system application that includes both software and management together in the franchising systems in the sector. On the other hand, in the study, the management information system application, which is lacking in the sector, has been prepared in line with the needs. This application has been developed in accordance with the managerial models in food-oriented franchising systems.
